Bio-Tower Emergency Improvements for the City of O’Fallon, Missouri. Project that normally takes a year to complete was designed and constructed in 18 weeks. Lead Electrical Engineer for the project. The project met the City’s requirement for a long term solution and was completed under budget. The Project Team received the ACEC Missouri Engineering Excellence Grand Award.

City of Hutchinson, Minnesota: $11.2 million project which would normally take a year to design was designed in 2-1/2 months and now is now in operation. The project came in less than 2% over construction budget.

Staff Engineer, Howard R. Green, Johnston, IA

1999 – 2006

Primary design engineering role for water and wastewater treatment plants, and for conveyance projects involving lift and booster stations. Key responsibilities included:

Identification and classification of hazardous areas per NFPA 820 for wastewater facilities

Designed for electrical equipment installation as identified by NFPA 820 and per the requirements of the NEC.

Design of electrical power distribution, standby power systems, motor control using variable frequency drives and soft start techniques for various water and wastewater facilities.
