Responsible for preparing instrument specification sheets for a medium sized refinery, review of instrument and control systems vendor drawings and data. Interface with suppliers, clients, other engineering disciplines and designers.

Evaluate process requirements, perform necessary calculations and specify the appropriate instrumentation per refinery, process requirements and API standards. Prepare instrument index, data sheets, purchase requisitions, alarm list, control narratives, DCS and PLC scope of work, P&ID and all instrument aspects. Provide directions for designers to implement drawings and documentation for instalaltion, wiring and construction efforts. Mentor junior engineers in the science of instrumentation practices. Support field engineers.

Pine Bend is a medium sized petroleum refinery in Rosemount; MN. Typical projects include gas compressor instrumentation upgrades and general instrumentation addition.
