January 2016-June 2016, Bearspaw Christian School: I volunteered as an elementary school teacher-assistant in a grade two classroom, approximately seven hours a week. The lessons were one hour long each week. At the end of the summer, the student was familiar with the basic foundations of guitar, and had become proficient at maintaining rhythm and chord- placement.

Skills Used: Teaching, course-development/planning, encouragement, time management, consistency, trouble shooting.

To Whom It May Concern,

This past summer I met Kornelia for the first time. I was looking for a guitar teacher for my daughter who is 9. Right after a friend recommended Kornelia as a guitar teacher I contacted her right away. She responded quickly and with so much respect. Kornelia is a beautiful person and lights up a room with her smile. She is a clear communicator, was prepared to teach each lesson and made my daughter feel comfortable right away. I am so impressed with what my daughter learned in a short period of time and that's because Kornelia encouraged and engaged her during each lesson.

I would strongly recommend Kornelia for any employment position especially working with children. Kornelia is reliable, mature and fun. Her positive attitude will be an asset to your business.

Please contact me if you have any questions.

Sincerely,

Michelle Fehr

To Whom it may concern:

Kornelia McKenzie volunteered two to three times each week in my Grade 2 classroom last year from February through June 2016. I found her to be reliable, flexible, and extremely capable. Some of the tasks she assisted with were marking student work and working with small groups of children. She demonstrated a demeanour with the children, which was patient, gentle, encouraging and kind.

I would highly recommend her for any position working with children and would be happy to further discuss the capabilities she demonstrated while working with me. Please feel free to contact me at any time.

Best regards,

Nancy Olfert (Grade 2 teacher)
