Skills and Experience

Serves as the Small Arms Repairer Leader for Delta Company, 2D Battalion, 1st Special Warfare Training Group (Airborne).

Constructs and maintains standard/non-standard weapons and ammunition to the highest degree of accuracy and reliability possible in a variety of weapons used in worldwide competition and national marksmanship training. Reviews and analyzes various reports, identifies problems relative to maintenance and utilization of equipment; and recommends areas requiring emphasis and corrective actions.

Provides hands on and classroom instructions, advice, guidance, and assistance on the use and maintenance of assigned equipment, general and specialized tools, test measurement and diagnostic equipment, repair parts, special kits and modifications. Assists in making policy decisions directly related to supporting customers (i.e, field commander, maintenance officers, maintenance technicians, combat support personnel, generals, field grade officers, state department personnel, and foreign nationals). Provides advice and assistance in maintenance management programs and procedures. Knowledgeable of supply logistics throughout supported units, the immediate supply chain, the Army and the DOD wholesale supply network. Recommends appropriate changes, improvements, and corrective actions.

Supervises over 100 small arms/ artillery repairmen & their instructors!

Taught maintenance on US and foreign military and civilian weapons of all types for OVER 3 yrs!

Possesses a thorough knowledge of weapon components of a wide variety of pistols, rifles, automatic weapons, and other small arms. Redesigns, modifies, reworks, and refines component parts to make stronger, heavier, smoother, more precisely fitted, harder, and more wear resistant than standard components. Monitors assigned equipment, training aids, devices and systems maintenance operations for the company. Reviews, analyzes and develops plans for equipment maintenance management programs.

Maintain and repair an average of 3,000 small arms annually!

Solely responsible for the on time fielding of 18 new weapons systems!

Served as the Training Management NCO for Headquarters & Headquarters Company, U.S. Army Combined Arms Support Command and Fort Lee.

Coordinates with combat and materiel developer on training efforts for new systems. Provided training input to required documents, equipment training plans, test and evaluation plans, and integrated logistics support plans. Utilized the Manpower and Personnel Integration (MANPRINT) program to improve the performance of Army weapons and equipment. Managed plans and other documents related to the acquisition of new systems. Coordinated and assisted in the development of 7 systems. Identified document and recommended solutions to potential problem areas through Training Requirements Analysis and developed comprehensive individual, New Equipment Training (NET) plans, and unit-sustainment training strategies. Ensured quality and clarity of documents to assure they are in accordance with Army policies and regulations.
