Software Engineering Manager, San Jose, CA 2014 – 2016

Spearheaded the modularization of IPOS Routing software that enabled seamless portability to various Ericsson platforms - SSR, R6672, R8801, EVR (Ericsson Virtual Router) and next generation radio devices.

Enabled scaling of IPOS from one platform with ~$150M revenue in Jan’2014 to five platforms with $1B+ revenue.

Led IPOS Routing organizational transformation toward Lean and Agile Scrum ways of working, and GIT, Gerrit and Jenkins driven Continuous Integration (CI) - developed IPOS Routing features using the Ericsson virtualized VMware cluster based test environment - SSR-SIM and IPOS-ref and delivered in rapid shipping cycles.

Directed highly motivated cross functional teams including Developers and Test Engineers - working on BGP, ISIS, OSPF, RSVP, CSPF, OpenFlow, PCEP, BGP-LS protocols across geographies.

Led the design, development and testing of Segment Routing - across ISIS, SR-infra, BGP-LS, PCEP modules.

Successfully delivered MPLS-VPN scalable solutions - Per-VRF aggregate label, Per-VRF label, Per-CE label, on various Cisco platforms - 7200/7600/6500/ASR-1000.

Designed and developed the MPLS security features - MPLS-VPN label security, Label Consistency Checker.

Designed and developed VRF Fallback feature that enhances scalability (avoid replicating all the "normal" internet paths in each VRF).

Designed and developed configurable ISDN protocol stack on Virtual Central Office (VCO/4k) for multiple PBX ISDN T1 variants - National ISDN (NI), QSIG, network side functionalities of EURO (NET5), and Japanese ISDN

(NTT)). This stack ran as a VxWorks application.

Enhanced the PBX ISDN T1 stack to address the areas of call through put, maintainability and reliability. This work resulted in a functionally configurable ISDN stack design with two patents. EDUCATION
