Production Control Program Manager; NPI Pilot Line

Manage NPI production of multiple ongoing programs/projects

-Support engineering development of new product introduction by overseeing manufacturing processes, supply chain, and resource allocation from initial staging to high volume factory production.

-Forecast and control yearly and quarterly budget for labor, material and resources.

-Schedule and oversee Hard Disk Drive (HDD) and Printed Circuit Board Assembly (PCBA) building and testing; ensure line readiness and material availability through supplier coordination, BOM management and communication across multiple global departments and teams

-Lead integration meetings with program teams to facilitate development and propel team cohesion and readiness, as well as achieve delivery, inventory efficiency, service level, and cost targets

-Allocate and track HDD funding to program teams and stakeholders; responsible for logistics and coordination of all supplies moved

-Track material, PCBA, and HDD inventory. Strategically manage and allocate supply to minimize excess and prevent overstock/obsolete inventory

-Ensure maximum optimization of total resources, capacity and labor through defining, creating and evolving manufacturing processes

Oversee all aspects of the U.S.-based Customer Qualification Sample (CQS) order-fulfillment process

-Coordinate logistics for HDD and material supply chain; work closely with suppliers, 3PL providers and regulatory compliance officers to ensure no delays

-Supervise PO fulfillment team; plan labor, capacity & material requirements forecasts to ensure on-time delivery for multiple projects and integrated functions

-Manage inventory, timelines and quarterly budget

-Define, implement and develop process flows and procedures for maximum operational efficiency.

oImplemented the first US based Customer Qualification Sample for Western Digital. Designed and orchestrated the creation of new production flow processes, inventory management, and order fulfillment for all Qualification drives shipped out of the US

oHit quarterly budget accuracy within 5% of initial forecast over the last fiscal year, while shipping the highest yearly volume since the CQS processes inception in 2009

oOver 2,300 orders shipped, to date, with zero internal related delays in meeting customer required dock dates; over 100,000 units shipped. 100% On-Time Delivery.

-Partner with cross-functional teams to implement multifaceted initiatives to expedite service delivery and drive continuous operational improvements and efficiencies including automated systems, physical layout design and execution processes

-Material management for entire department at multiple sites, including storage, procurement and inventory of multiple warehouses

-Routine high level presentations and reporting to ensure complete accuracy and traceability, as well as evaluate, define and correct/prevent potential risks to the timeline.

-Logistics and timeline coordination on the shipping side of orders, including direct partnership with 3rd Party Logistics (3PL) providers, as well as completion of all shipping and regulatory documents
