Research Experience
2015/09 – 2017/05 University of Akron
Designed and synthesized a novel nanobowl supramolecule which are self-assembly from terpyridine-based building blocks and transition metal ions (Ruthenium2+ and Zinc2+).
Used NMR, Mass Spectrometry to analyze the chemical structure of the nanobowl, and utilized TEM to visualize the structure.
Designed and synthesized a trapezoid-shaped macrocycle by self-assembly which contains three kinds of metal ions(Zinc2+, Iron2+, Ruthenium2+), the final complex was characterized via NMR, Mass Spectrometry, and UV-Vis.
Synthesized palladium(0) complex to catalyst coupling reaction such as Suzuki coupling.
2012/09 – 2015/07 Beijing University of Chemical Technology
Synthesized different POSS-Sn based catalysts and investigating their efficiency characteristics on polymerizing polylactic acid.
Utilized GPC to characterize molecular weight, used FTIR to characterize the chemical structure, used TGA to analyze the thermal stability of the polymer.
Researched various methods to synthesize graphene and graphene/polylactic acid composites. Investigating the Young’s modulus under various amount of graphene/polylactic acid ratio.
