As quality control tech I work in a lab checking cast iron parts for different companies with two different cmm machines and a faro arm. Checking parts finding out the dimensions and actual of each part using the coordinate system (X, Y, Z) before being machined and after. Making sure the part is in tolerance by the blueprint. Working on more than one computer. Filling out of tolerance forms. Corrective action reports. Creating programs for parts and doing PPAPS. Entering data into reports. Using OD mics-3 prong mics and calibers. Putting gages into the system. Keeping inventory on all gages making sure gages are calibrated and tagged. Hand checked parts also after they where machined if needed. Also a Floor inspector I perform daily audits on each operator's production folder making sure they have quality, standard work Forms and process sheets also FAI or IMS sheets in each folder. Inspect all materials supplied to the job to ensure compliance with contract drawings, Also checking to make sure the operators are writing down the correct dimensions Audit floors thoroughly

Do audits A.m and P.m Work closely with engineering with prints, FAI'S, IMS AND PROCESS SHEETS.

Enter data into computer. If needed do a corrective action report. Checked parts for defects. In charge of non-conforming area determined if part is scrap or rework. Made sure each container or box was tagged with a hold, reject, OK to process or OK to ship. In charge of shipping. Duties where to check each container thoroughly for any visual defects, used gages and calibers to check part. Wrote OK to ship tag and signed off on each container being shipped out. Kept a shipping log on paper an entered data into a spreadsheet. In charge of production visual board making sure operators where up to date on production. In charge of scrap reports and putting them into pro-com after entering data onto spreadsheets doing monthly reports. Comply safety classes and enforcing safety obligations and hazards.
