Behavior of newly integrated IG’s during fault is different from that of SG’s. In case of DFIG based WF’s during balanced faults, current frequency deviates from normal frequency, but voltage frequency remains within margin. Due to this the relay at WF end trips insecurely.

A modified permissive overreach transfer trip (POTT) scheme together with fault current classification technique is given to solve the problem. Simulation studies have been performed on proposed method and appropriate results are shown. 2) B.E. - DC motor soft starter & speed control by using chopper Subjects of Interest:
