Lead programmer to develop report, query and data base applications for Medical Affairs on IBM Mainframe, UNIX and Windows operating systems, using Oracle database and development tools in the data warehouse.

Wrote and tested PL/SQL, Oracle & K-shell scripts in designing a data cleaning process for the Diabetes Lab Reporting database. This process inputs raw medical lab results, extracts and normalizes (‘cleans’) the data to Blue Cross membership specifications. Multiple high-risk test results are intersected with high-risk members providing an intervention report for better member health and significant cost savings.

-Defined Entity-Relationship diagrams, worked with Oracle DBAs and data architect in approval process.

Developed problem tracking data base & associated forms, managed release testing, defined quality metrics & process improvement for this successful startup company.

Designed, developed and administered a bug tracking Oracle data base with Oracle Forms v2.3, 3.0, / SQLPlus scripts for over 6 years. Installed on Sun, HP and DEC workstations.

Weekly & daily reports were prioritized by product category & problem severity. Management used this system as a critical risk assessment metric during the product release cycle.

Designed and built regression test framework that insured forward compatibility of new product versions. Worked with product design engineers to both originate and record over 2,000 test cases.

Automated regression testing in the UNIX environment (Cshell, at) to run overnight with TCOV code coverage tool. Addressed graphical inconsistencies across multi-platform testing with phased evaluation and implementation of Mercury Interactive – XRunner screen capture tool.
