E-commerce sites use payment gateway for direct debit transactions. These business –to- business models where, amount due is directly collected from the customers bank through EFT file or financial gateway is monitored by the regulatory and supervisory framework of RBI. Banks have an internal IS audit system to cater to these direct debits and direct credits.
The data is processed in flat file format to the designated webserver and it is the responsibility of the EFT service branch. These EFTR files are validated and verified for ingestion and quality
