SunTrust Bank 2013 – 2017

Security Services Project Manager

Project Manager for the Identity Lifecycle Management project to replace the SunTrust teammate access provisioning system. Initiated the project, Led requirements gathering with business and technical resources, managed the vendor selection process, completed the software design process with the vendor, coordinated built out of multiple environments, supervised vendor development and worked with the enterprise testing organization during integration testing.

Led a fast track critical effort to upgrade the Oracle OAM 10g and 11g platforms to SHA 2 certificates due to Microsoft retiring support for SHA 1 certificates in January 2017. Implemented a solution developed by Oracle consultants and the SunTrust OAM Application support team. Coordinated multiple application teams and testing resources during regression testing to insure no impacts to SunTrust client facing online applications. The upgrade was successfully implemented in less than 1 month during December 2016.

Project Manager (through MDI)

Consultant Project Manager at SunTrust Bank remediating database user access for identified key financial applications due to an internal control deficiency cited by internal and external auditors. Worked with the SunTrust BIOs to develop a strategy for database access. Led a team of DBAs that interfaced with multiple application support teams to evaluate the appropriateness of user access for databases associated with SunTrust Key Financial applications. After removing inappropriate user database access, the team coordinated with the SunTrust BIO teams and Production Service Managers to attest to user access. Provided supporting evidence to SunTrust Internal audit to close the audit item on schedule.

Blue Cross/Blue Shield of Mississippi 2011 - 2013

Project Manager

Consultant Project Manager at Blue Cross/Blue Shield of Mississippi leading development teams for provider applications and enterprise solutions. Coordinated with Product management to obtain and document business requirements, led technical teams to design and build a solution, managed the testing and implementation processes, coordinated turnover to the operation teams and provided 2nd level support for production issues after turnover

Prior Authorization – Directed multiple enhancements to web based java applications for managing provider prior authorizations for prescription drugs and inpatient/outpatient services. Coordinated with Care Management nurses to identify detailed requirements and led the development teams to design, build, test and successfully implement java based forms, web services and messaging application integration with no production issues during implementation.

Provider Credentialing – Managed the java development effort to provide web based credentialing for individual and facility provider types. Completed development for individual providers and successfully piloted to Mississippi medical clinics.

Membership Transformation – Guided the redesign of the group and membership data model with the primary goal of converting legacy VSAM files to DB2 and modifying existing mainframe programs to use the new database files. Coordinated with business team to identify required data elements and whether they should be at the employer or group level. Managed the technical team consisting of a data architect, a data modeler, DBAs and mainframe developers to redesign and implement the new data model.

834 System to System – Led EDI project to receive employee health enrollment information in a HIPAA 834 format, run it through a rules engine and load into the BCBSMS membership and billing system. Completed COBOL and java development and piloted with employers.

Fair Isaac (FICO) – Norcross, GA 2007 - 2011

Senior Project Manager

ScoreNet - Program Manager leading 4 Project Managers responsible for development and maintenance projects for the FICO ScoreNet product designed to provide secure data exchange between other FICO products, partners and clients. Successfully lead the completion of the initial system and additional enhancements utilizing .Net development resources located in in Norcross GA and Bangalore India.

PMO Initiatives Program Manager. Developed and documented simplified project processes for project initiation, change management, budgeting, estimating, and scheduling.

Insurance Fraud Manager (IFM) – Assumed project management in early 2010 for an existing effort to design and build a hosted or client installed insurance fraud detection product using RUP methodology on a java platform. Immediately recognized the schedule was unrealistic based on the development estimates and existing timelines. Re-baselined the schedule and gained management approval to fast track the project in order to meet a customer commitment. Development and testing required a large global team of onshore and offshore resources (100+). Coordinated the build out of multiple physical environments located in Minneapolis based on a 3 tiered architecture. Annual budget exceeded 10 million dollars including labor and infrastructure costs. Was successful in meeting the customer commitment in December 2010.
