My job title was Account Executive. My responsibilities included: legal content editor; coordinator of a network of 1200 legal experts, domestic and international; research analyst; and the performance of document review and paralegal duties, including legal editing, blue-booking, cite-checking and proofreading. As coordinator of the Expert Legal Research and Analysis network of legal experts, I performed the following functions:

(1) identified and secured legal experts for the preparation of legal memoranda for Fortune 500 companies;

(2) prepared analysis/review of the expert legal database of 1200 lawyers for consideration by supervising attorneys;

(3) upgraded the database;

(4) determined the number of legal experts within each legal specialty, including the need for enhancement in specific areas;

(5) managed submitted research by means of correspondence with legal experts, schedules, tracking charts and established deadlines (such research included fifty-state surveys on domestic legal issues and multi-country reviews of international non-compete agreements, international risk assessments and international data transfers, among others);

(6) solicited legal experts in “niche” areas of expertise to participate in webinars available to domestic and international customers;

(7) completed documentation to facilitate a review of database experts by supervising attorneys; and

(8) submitted presentations for submission to corporate customers detailing legal experts and their areas of expertise.

As legal content editor, I reviewed/proofread submitted legal research memoranda; upon request of supervising attorneys, I performed the second review of legal memoranda after the initial review by the senior attorney; supervised the review/submission of quarterly reports of specific legal issues for corporate customers; maintained a departmental style guide for the final presentation of legal memoranda; and was responsible for the final quality check of submitted research.
