Primary Trainer Northern Florida – Responsible for training new hire personnel in every aspect

of the FPS (Federal Protective Services) SMART Book (Student Manual and Resource Tool).

Including company standards, duty and professionalism, basic defensive tactics, handcuffing,

expandable baton, O.C. terrorism awareness, and an in depth firearms use and qualification course.

I also was responsible for maintaining all current PSO’s (Protective Security Officers) certifications

And bi-annual weapons qualification.

Blackwolf Security Group, Jun 2015 – Apr 2016

Captain of Operations – In charge of company fleet assets and operational aspects

pertaining to patrol and standing security sites, provided supervision to all Shift Supervisors as well

field officers. A member of the company’s ERT unit and Personal Protection Details.

I would also work standing posts as needed and aid with the training

and management of officers to ensure compliance to SOP’s.

Corporal

Primary MOS: All Source Tactical Intelligence Analyst w/ TS-SCI Clearance –

Completed 4 years of Active Duty with the U.S. Army. Gained NCO and lower level leadership status through my promotion to Corporal. Participated in the complete revitalization and overhaul of the U.S. Military in general - and the U.S. Army specifically - from the low status perceived in the 1970’s to the most powerful and effective military in history.

An active participant in the swift/forceful turnaround of the armed forces that led to the revitalization of Iraq. Part of a team that proved that the military could be managed like a well-tuned corporate machine (same size as Exxon Corp.). A successful record for managing complex situations.

Specific duties and achievements include:

Management:

Provided my unit leaders with up to date Intel reports regarding the status of current projects and goals of the unit. Maintained up to date clearance information for the soldiers in the unit. Conducted weekly meetings with my own company as well as other companies to provide pertinent information related to our mission in Iraq. Interviewed candidates for security clearances as well as processed all related forms. My Unit assigned me as a team leader in which I directed Unit maintenance in daily tasks and motor pool operations including: QAQC (quality assurance and quality checks) and PMCS (preventative maintenance checks and services) on all vehicles assigned to my section; Directed soldiers for weapons maintenance and qualifying as a BRM Instructor; conduct reviews on how my soldiers were advancing in training and was responsible for all paperwork concerning leave time and corrective action.

Operations & Logistics:

I was in charge of training Iraqi Army intelligence sections on proper procedures and establishing new procedures for the trainees. I became a squad member of the deploying Brigade Commanders personal security detachment (PSD) team, which would escort the commander through towns and assist in convoys. Briefed Commanders on up to date locations and known areas of individuals being monitored based on their insurgent affiliation. Processed new soldiers into units as well as soldiers that were retiring or separating from service out of the units. Maintained proper control and cataloging of classified material per security requirements. Cataloged and tracked weapons that were recovered during military operations. Participated in outgoing patrols of known enemy locations. I personally qualified Sharp Shooter with the following weapon systems; M4, M16A2, M9, M240B, M19, M249, M203, M320, and Truck mounted .50 CAL.

Automation &

Cost Control:

Managed and automated the Security Clearance Department a 1,200 person unit. Responsible for maintaining current security clearances as well as interviewing prospective candidates for clearance. A highly skilled technical individual, computer literate, able to maximize work flow and increase productivity.

Bio - David G. Ruhl

Security Manager and Supervisor/ Security and Defensive Tactics Instructor

David G. Ruhl, a United States Army Veteran and Security Professional, is a native to Pittsburgh with 9 years of combined experience in Military, Security, and weapons training. He is currently attending the University of Phoenix for his Bachelors of Science in Business Management.

David has extensive training going through Army EOD (Explosive Ordnance Disposal) training in the operation of basic demolitions, explosives and their effects, IED recognition, disarmament, basic and advanced circuits. After attending EOD school, David then was reassigned to Fort Huachuca, AZ where he received training as an All Source Tactical Intelligence Analyst. He was also award an AA in Intelligence Operations. Prior to David's first deployment he was attached to an Infantry Company where he then received extensive training in basic rifle marksmanship (BRM), basic pistol marksmanship, room clearing, squad movements, and fire team search and seizure tactics. While deployed he became a member of his Battalion Commanders PSD team, a BRM Instructor, and training liaison for an Iraqi Army Brigade.

After David had left the Military he began his career in the Security industry working under Commander Hanna. Since then, David has had experience working with personal protection details, and providing security for everything from apartment communities to fortune 500 companies. David then became an assistant instructor at Tactical Elite Training Academy for basic security officers, armed security officers, personal protection officers, unarmed defensive tactics, ground defensive tactics, and firearms.

David has been a proven team leader in the Military and a valuable asset to both the security and training industry. He truly enjoys teaching new up and coming personnel with the thirst for knowledge.
