SQC Engineer, KLA-Tencor Instruments Milpitas, CA 2000 – 2002

System testing new features of the operating software written specifically for the AIT system – using C++. Also regression testing of already existing features implemented in new software builds. Extensive use of GEM/SECS (industry standard). Tested specific requirements for certain customers (AMD & Intel). Submitted incidents/issues discovered into global database for tracking (iNotion). Attended meetings where new features were discussed/planned to provide input on testing capabilities.

Test Engineer, KLA-Tencor Instruments Milpitas, CA 1999 – 2000

Calibrate, test, and troubleshoot wafer inspection equipment, particularly AIT’s and AIT2’s. Provide data, failed components, and boards to the engineering department for evaluation. Adhere to strict ‘GMP’s’ for operation and behavior in a class-100 clean room. Perform QA inspection, collect and report first pass yield and failure data. Maintain integration, calibration, and QA records. Participate in technical team meetings and provide input for quality improvements. Customer Acceptance Engineer, KLA-Tencor Instruments Milpitas, CA 1998 – 1999

Run conformance tests on all wafer inspection equipment (AIT’s) that has passed QA testing. Adhere to strict ‘GMP’s’ for operation in a class-100 clean room. Prepare the systems for inspection by the customer for approval before purchase. Compile data and all other pertinent information for those customers that choose to accept and purchase the tool based on stringent test results.

Participate in the completion of major projects from schematic design through construction. Projects include Cineplex Odeon 8 theater complex in Redmond, WA and 9 theater complex in Layton, UT, conversion of pizza restaurant to Juice Stop franchise, and various office building modifications.

Perform extensive CAD operations. This includes design of electrical layouts, reflected ceiling plans, schematic designs and furniture plans, as well as redlining layouts.

Interface with clients, engineers, project managers, and project architects. This entails troubleshooting and modifying layouts, researching special design requirements, and scheduling and coordinating implementations of design modifications. Also act as liaison between suppliers and clients.

Assist in responsibilities of office manager. Tasks include obtaining copies of blueprints, accounting, answering phones, interfacing with clients, and various other tasks as assigned.

Prepared blueprints and contract documents for client presentation. This entailed preparing necessary documentation and organization of drawings under strict time schedules in order to meet deadlines. This also included frequent interaction with clients.
