Project 1

Integration Delivery Centre (IDC), VOLVO IT (April 2013 – November 2014)

Description

Integration Delivery center is a CoE which delivers integrations between

various applications needed for VOLVO IT Trucks building and its operations. It

included multiple programs and projects for providing PRD and DCL operations

for various geographies.

Role and Responsibilities

• Integration Architect for PISTA program, responsible for designing more

than 100 integrations needed in PRD domain

• In PISTA program, successfully rolled out integrations needed for 2 sites -

Hoskote and VAXIS.

• Integration architect for REX program which caters of integrations in DCL

domain for Japan. Since japanese systems need to interact with global

systems, challenges included representation of different japanese scripts

which were handled perfectly.

• Design of integrations with various systems like Mainframe, iSeries, SAP

etc using MQ, Web services etc. Integrations involve complex

transformations between different message formats and should also

handle high throughput.

• Also work as assignment lead and ensure all integrations are developed as

per approved design and delivered on time, with high quality.

AIG eWorldSource (June 2010-April 2013)

Description

eWorldSource is an underwriting application which provides insurance on

property and casuality lines of business to customers, in over 150 countries

across the world.

It contains a robust orchestration layer (middleware) built using WPS, which

acts as a common service gateway for various underwriting applications of the

customer, which interacts with same backend systems

.

Role and Responsibilities

• Technical lead for Orchestration layer, with a team of about 8 members.

• Design of complex orchestration workflows along with mediations for

transformation between canonical data model and application specific

data model.

• Redesign of existing application so as to make it more flexible, which also

resulted in performance improvement.

• Design of Dynamic Service Selection Framework and Process Recovery

framework which has made the application very flexible and incorporate

changes with minimal effort.

• Performance optimizations to support transactions with huge data

• Involved in Migration of Websphere Process Server from 6.0.2 to 7.0

Project 1

Business of Future, Swiss Re (Nov 2007 to Feb 2010)

Description

A Reinsurance project in which TCS is involved in the maintenance and

enhancement phases. I worked as a WPS senior developer in Software

Engineering Team, whose main role is to design and develop the new business

and technical requests received from the Client as well as propose value

additions.

Role and Responsibilities

• Low-level design of various Business and Technical Requests.

• Development of new functionalities using WPS(mainly BPELs and

Mediations) to integrate the Java application to the backend Oracle

Database through the Business of Future Framework.

• Core member of the Websphere Process Server (WPS) team, with the

additional responsibility of resolving any WPS issues raised by the project

at Offshore.

• Single Point of Contact to interact with the TCS Technology Excellence

Group, from the project.
