Working as a lead engineer in TVM team responsible for handling cost reduction activities related to wiring harnesses.

Worked as a Lead Engineer in plant vehicle team. Responsible for

1. Solving electrical issues on the assembly line for Ford Eco sport and Endeavor models.

2. Analyzing electrical warrantee claims, propose and implement solutions to reduce number of claims.

Volvo India Private Limited (5 years 3 month): 2011-2016

Worked as a senior engineer in Volvo Construction Equipment (Part of Volvo India Pvt Ltd).

Projects: Preparing electrical schematic, design and development of wiring harnesses and other electrical components for following road machineries,

1.SD115/135 TIER4F single drum compactor for Shippensburg (PA USA).

2.SD75 TIER4F single drum compactor for Shippensburg (PA USA).

3.DD120/140 TIER4F double drum compactor for Shippensburg (PA USA).

4.SD105 TIER3 single drum compactor (Cab Upgrade) for Brazil.

5.DD120/140 TIER4I cost reduction project (saving 1000$ per machine).

Worked in Shippensburg (PA USA) for 6 months to support SD115/135 TIER4F and DD120/140 TIER4F proto builds. During this time I was responsible for solving electrical issues and making sure the harness routing is proper on the proto build and also for supplier development with Leoni and AQ harnesses.

Responsible for meeting TIER4F regulations for American market and TIER3 regulations for Brazilian market, keeping cost factor in mind.

Member of EMI/EMC Global Reference Group in VCE: Responsible for assuring EMI/EMC testing and certification for all machines manufactured in Bangalore site.

Trained 5 electrical and 10 non-electrical engineers in Shippensburg PA to work on saber tool for creating electrical schematic and wiring harness drawings.

I also worked as a functional project lead for the new paver 6870 project which is still in concept stage.

Previous project: Designing of wiring harnesses for Medium Duty (MD) and Medium Heavy Duty (MHD) trucks with EURO-6 norms. I was responsible for Cab harness design for Volvo as well as Renault trucks.

Visited Renault truck factory in Blainville (France) as well as design facility at Lyon (France) to build a bridge between GTT and Renault trucks.

L&T Komatsu ltd (2 years 8 months): 2008-2011

Worked as design engineer in product engineering department of L&T Komatsu limited Bangalore. I was looking after electrical wiring harness design and design, development and testing of all other electrical components for hydraulic excavators.

Major Projects at LTK:

1) Auto deceleration (PC200): It’s an automatic system in which engine rpm gets reduced when machine is idle for more than 5 seconds.

Responsibilities: Preparation of schematics, routing in pro-cabling, preparing harness drawing, assembly drawing, vendor development for controller, testing of controller at lab and also carrying out prototype try-out at workshop.

2) Automated Centralized Lubrication System (ACLS): One of the requirements of SCCL- All pins should be lubricated automatically at regular intervals.

Responsibilities: Preparation of schematics, routing in pro-cabling, preparing harness drawing, assembly drawing, work closely with Lincoln for successful proto try-out.

3) 7-lamp system (with front HID lamps): Requirement of SCCL- To provide visibility all around the machine while working at night.

Responsibilities: Preparation of harness and assembly drawings and carrying out proto trials.

4) Development of Audio Visual Alarm: Requirement of DGMS- To provide a pre-start audio visual alarm for the machine.

Responsibilities: 3D modeling of audio visual alarm, choosing the components (like flasher, bulb and horn) from good sources. Making a proto and testing it as per the standard.

4) Auto testing for 300CK: R&D requirement- to test the machine for 800hrs continuously.

Responsibilities: Make a solenoid assembly and a timer circuit for actuating the solenoids and test the machine as per the standard.

5) Fuel economy kit (CRDI): An electronic system which optimizes the engine rpm by controlling the voltage output of the throttle nob.

Responsibilities: Vendor development and Testing.

6) Localization of windshield washer unit: Development of local windshield washer as a part of department cost reduction project.

Responsibilities: Identifying the vendor who can meet the requirements, and proving the components by testing.

Top performer of the year 2015. SD105 project is considered as one of the efficient project executed in VCE across globe.
