EXPERIENCE:
Project Controls Specialist – Scheduler / Engineering Materials Coordinator – 6 years
Bechtel National, Inc., Richmond, KY – Project Controls Engineer for the Blue Grass Chemical Agent-Destruction Pilot Plant (BGCAP) located at the Army Depot in Richmond, KY to build a plant to destroy and get rid of all of the existing nerve agent (sarin (GB) and VX) and mustard gas missiles and rockets stored at the Army Depot. Interfaced with all discipline departments: engineering, procurement, construction, start up, safety, and subcontracts involved with Bechtel’s scope of work. Develop and maintain Program and Project schedules for assigned locations and/or work activities. Interface directly with appropriate Site and Project Management to identify requirements and obtain information necessary to develop and maintain project and program schedules. Lead Schedule Review Meetings as required to obtain updates and communicate schedule information. Review and analyze project schedules to confirm schedule integrity, durations, resources and logic. Communicate identified concerns and potential problem areas with construction, Regional Project Controls Lead and appropriate Project Management along with any recommendations for resolution of identified concerns. Provide schedule reporting as required to meet Project, Program and Department expectations for daily, weekly, and monthly reporting. Ensure alignment between the schedule and cost information. Monitor change control process, identify schedule impact of proposed changes and incorporate those impacts into the work plan as approved. Support cost and schedule risk analysis and provide input to mitigate plans.
Project Engineer - Powertrain Department “06” -- Assembly Plant 2 Special Projects Group “08” – 2 years
Toyota Motor Manufacturing Kentucky, (TMMK) Inc., Georgetown, KY – Used manufacturing and engineering fundamentals in a lean manufacturing environment. Managed plant resources (production, maintenance, contract labor, AutoCAD and the required documentations) in order to coordinate project activities. Created bid specifications and cost analysis on several projects. Developed support documentation on projects and assisted engineering specialist with daily engineering duties. Supervised individual projects to ensure engineered equipment procurements and subcontracts support was met for completion. Strong networking & communications.
Mechanical Design Engineer – 3 years
Thermex-Thermatron, Louisville, KY – Designed and oversaw the functionality of equipment and the procurement processes of the projects. AutoCAD was used to design the structure of radio frequency (RF) and 500 kW microwave conveyor systems consisting of: applicators, 100-kilowatt generators, intralox main belt, and transfer sections.
Project Manager/Design Engineer – 4 years
Industrial Design Co. (IDC), Inc., Louisville, KY – Designed custom components and systems for a wide range of industrial fields. Worked with conveyors, turnkey systems, pneumatics, hydraulics, plastic injection molds, cranes and various time study items. Designed and oversaw the fabrication through the installation of projects.
