Projects:
DayTrader is a web application with an API call to Quandl financial database returning the most recent closing price of a NYSE-traded stock. The app allows the user to create a list of favorite stocks and notes for future positions to take. The app uses HTML5, CSS, and ANGULARJS. CSS was used for styling. HTML5 partials were used to create multiple views that were controlled by several AngularJS controllers. Additionally, AngularJS factories were used to perform authentication and API calls (http requests) to Firebase and to Quandl database. See my code for this project at: http://www.tinyurl.com/SJDayTrader
VolunteerTrack is a web application with a google map with loaded object markers providing the user with charities that need volunteers, as well as helpful links. The user can save information such as their personal charitable contributions, hours spent volunteering, as well as mileage used in the commission of volunteer activities. The app calculates totals of all fields as soon as a new activity is entered or an existing activity is updated. I created the API endpoint with the database, SQLite, provided by C# ASP.NET, with Entity Framework and Razor. Additionally, AngularJS, JavaScript, HTML5, and CSS were used. AngularJS was used to create the views and connect with the C# ASP.NET backend controller, which then connected to the database. Razor was also used with rendering views. An AngularJS controller was also used to perform some routing. See my code for this project at: http://www.tinyurl.com/SKJVolunteerTrack.
