When the order was completed – I packed the original work order so that the drivers could have the packing slip and then I would log in the work order information into Excel so all information could be verified by the inventory clerk for accuracy.

03/13 - 11/15 Overhead Crane Operator

Trulie glass and Aluminum Solutions

When the glass trucks would come in, I would pull the stock and put in assigned areas.

I would pull the sheets of glass assigned to a specific work order and put the glass on a tilt table and the tilt table would take the glass to the Bystronics Machine and the machine would cut the glass to the specific lay-out.

If the entire sheet of glass was not used, I would re-stock it in its designated area.

There were cases of specific types of glass (for example, Pattern, Rain, Gluechip etc. glass) that didn’t have an assigned area, and were located on the opposite side of the warehouse. Once the glass was located, it was then pulled to be cut.

Glass pulled was jumbo, 204x130; 96x130; 72x130; 60x130 and miscellaneous glass.

I knew the Operators position and I would help Production on Glass Robots when needed

I would temper or heat strength specific types of clear or soft coat glass.

I would temper the glass on a specific recipe depending on the millimeter of the glass type.

Check the distortion on the glass and compare it to a zebra board for accuracy and bowness and also for quality control.

Check the soft coat glass to see if they had heat stains or to see if it was run too hot.

Supervised a crew of 4 (2 seamers; 1 loader, 1 unloader)

Break test to make sure the tempering pressure of the glass was too high or too low.

Helped load passengers bags onto their cars if needed.

Occasionally would have to manually load the late check-in bags onto the airplane.
