Analyzed the Mercury Tours Application interface with an HP Test Automation Framework (QTP/UFT), and (QC/ALM) to build the set of resources to be used for tests, functions that enhance QTP functionalities including Checkpoint, Parameterization, Object Repositories (OR), Object Spy and Programming Logic.

Configured QTP according to testing needs included setting up global testing preferences, run session preferences, any test-specific preferences, and recovery scenarios.

Created one or more tests that served as action repositories in which stored the actions to be used in the tests. Generally, created an action repository test for each area of Mercury Tours application to be tested.

Added steps to the actions in the test action repository, created steps using the keyword-driven functionality and also used the Expert View to program steps directly in VBScript.

Used QTP and VB Script to run the Automated test scripts using different functionalities of QTP like Checkpoints, GetROProperty, GetTOProperty, SetTOProperty, IF and Loop Statements.
