Hired in 1987 to start up export freight forwarding operations in the Chicago branch office of a large Detroit based import customs broker. Duties included hiring staff for both air and ocean freight export operations. Started NVOCC operation with a Netherlands based freight forwarder. Also created airfreight consolidation service to the U.K, Germany, Holland and the far east. Was responsible for sales and marketing in the Illinois, Wisconsin, Iowa and Indiana markets

From 1984 to 1987 worked primarily selling products and services in the electronic and communication fields in Saudi Arabia and Western Europe. Prior to 1987 most activities consisted of supplying electronic components and spare parts for 2- way radio equipment in all bands. Supplied complete UHF/VHF/HF communication systems for various customers in Saudi Arabia. Customers included the Coast Guard, Petromin Refinery, Civil Defense and Ministry of Interior Security Forces. The companies represented included Harris RF Com div., G.E. Radio, Transworld Communications, ITT Mackey for tactical secure communications. In 1984 with HRB Singer of State College, Pa helped develop a kingdom wide C3I (command, control, communication, intelligence) system for the Ministry of Interior for monitoring the border and providing instant response to border incursions.

After the Gulf war in 1991 I became a consultant to Middle East Broadcasting (MBC) in London in the launching of their new Satellite television service for the Arab speaking world. I specified and packaged the first home AS@ band receiving system distributed by MBC. I also developed the teletext invision system used for broadcasting news and information during the hours before and after the regular TV schedule. This included specifying the equipment used and hiring and training the staff of editors.

In 1992 I was made the primary consultant for the development of a multichannel pay TV service for the Saudi Arabia market. I was responsible for creating the business plan submitted to the Saudi Government for the purpose of securing the sole operating license. This included the evaluation and selection of the company that would act as the technology supplier for the different systems involved and act as prime contractor for the build out of the system. I was responsible for overseeing the development of the system specification and the project launch. In 1993 SARA VISION was formed as a sister company to ARA Inc. for the purpose of implementing and operating the new pay TV service. As a consultant to SARA VISION I searched for and recruited the VP of engineering, the V.P. of operations and the V.P. of marketing. I also oversaw a team responsible for developing programming for the 20 Channel system. In 1995 I negotiated a contract with HBO a division of Time Warner Inc. for the development of a 4 channel program package consisting of movies, children, learning and family programs. In 1996 as a consultant to MBC I specified and built the first private FM radio network in Saudi Arabia. The network was in 12 cities and utilized satellite delivered programming originating from MBC=s London studios. In 1999 - 2002 I helped in the creation of a company called European Central Aviation (ECA) for the purpose of building and operating a large aircraft Maintenance, Repair, Overhaul (MRO) facility I assisted in writing the business plan used in securing project financing. This was part of a BAE Systems Offset Program for the Czech Government. From 2000 to December 2004 was an adviser/consultant to BAE Systems PLC of the United Kingdom for the developing a plan to commercialize and rebuild King Khalid Int’l Airport in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia. Helped secure a contract for BAE to provide a study for the commercialization of operations at King Fahd Int’l Airport in Dammam. From 2001-2004 I worked as a consultant for an Indonesian aircraft leasing company, assisting them in their acquisition of 12 retired Saudi Arabian Airlines B-737 aircraft.

From 2000 to 2001 I worked as a consultant for Dallah Telecom Group of Saudi Arabia. I researched and assisted in the evaluation of companies involved in Intelligent Transportation Systems (ITS) in the United States and Canada for a proposed project for the Saudi Ministry on Interior Traffic Police. 2004 – 2009 – Partner in an export trading company supplying clients in Ireland with shelf stable food products and building materials. Sold over 8000 cases of specialty condiments to Shamrock Foods, Dublin Ireland. October 2008 – September 2009 – Hanrahan Partners in Investigation, Elmhurst, IL – Licensed private investigator that did surveillance work, witness interviews, court document service and tracking services for clients. October 2009 – Present – Offshore Sourcing Inc. – Sourcing equipment and parts for a Saudi Arabian trading Co. Clients include the Saudi Border Guard, Land and Marine, Saudi Television and Radio, Saudi Military Academy KAMA, December 2014 – Present – Representative for Willard Marine Inc. for Special Operations RHIB Boats and Fast Patrol Boats for sale to the Royal Oman Police Coast Guard and Oman Navy. Also made presentation to the Special Warfare Group on the Royal Saudi Naval Forces for RHIB boats.

August 2015 =- Present – Representative for BK Technologies/RELM Radio for sales of 2-way radio products for sales in Middle East Gulf Countries and Viet Nam.
