Consultant – Sprint National RF Coverage and Planning, Reston, VA
•National RF coverage and planning for Sprint's voice CDMA and LTE data network. Provided support for $2,000,000 2.5GHz LTE Macro sites equipment and RF services spend.
•Responsible for reviewing 80% of search rings submitted from field engineers for LTE Mini/Macros Nationwide Design. Reviews included coverage design, trials with Softbank Japan team in addition to physical site design using Mentum Planet propagation tool.
•Responsible for 100% interference mitigation for Sprint’s 2500 MHz LTE sites near NexRAD and ASR radar systems.
•Responsible for analyzing power flux density (pdf) for LTE sites along USA borders with Canada and Mexico to meet international border interference requirements. Tasks also include analyzing sites within GSA areas.

•Integration and Optimization of all new network elements into the existing macro network. Network elements included CDMA voice, EVDO and LTE data carriers, as well as new sites including DAS systems.
•Worked on creating scripts for BTS/RBS new site integrations using CACP and CPS and ability to troubleshoot script issues until resolution.
•Supported $1,200,000 Sprint Network Vision upgrades in DFW and East Texas Markets.
•Optimized performance and capacity by clusters for DFW and ETX newly Integrated Ericsson CDMA, EVDO and LTE network. Monitored and improved KPIs such as network access failure, dropped and blocked call rate on the voice network and data throughput. Network Optimization was achieved by using various Ericsson tools such as Cartoon Page, NEAT, Cockpit, Newtun, and MapInfo. Also analyzed system logs daily.

•RF POC for 900MHz Band iDEN Implementation and Optimization in the BAWA market. Task included overseeing implementing 900MHz channels and optimization based on statistical measurements and feedback from RF management.
•Optimized added 900MHz channels into the iDEN network due to rebanding. Work on improving the TDR for the BAWA network by making the necessary modifications to existing sites like, power changes, antenna changes, parameter changes, radiation center line reductions, etc.
•Tracked trends from reported RF failure and used the trends to predict future potential problem areas in the RF coverage footprint due to the replacing of 800MHz frequencies with 900MHz.

•Responsible for radio system design of the iDEN network. Main duties include Designing Search Rings and analyzing submitted candidates. Site visits with the Site Acquisition team to finally approve candidates chosen by RF to verify if it will meet all the RF objectives. Prepare zoning packages where necessary for zoning meetings. Verified Construction and tower drawings and issued Final EBTS’s for approved candidates. Attended weekly deployment meetings and updated the RF portion of Celltrack and Siterra.
Consultant - iDEN Optimization, Design and Implementation, Nextel Communications, Greenville, SC
•Main duties include analyzing Drop Calls, Lost of Transmissions, Inter and Intra Cell handover failures, poor coverage areas, Handover origination Failures, Blocking, statistically and with drive test data. Parameter/Neighbor list scrubbing was done weekly to improve neighbor list and optimize various parameters. Used traffic data to analyze and improve capacity. Worked on Re-tuning the South Carolina Nextel Market.
