I handled client requests, unsatisfied patients, and employee issues. Attended weekly manager meetings assisted other departments when needed. I resolved a 2 year long credential issue that resulted in the client receiving all reimbursement that was due. I was responsible for all data updates to Misys software which included insurance, procedure, ICD.9 and fee schedule updates; along with importing yearly RVU data.

The billing department was formed 6 months prior to my employment. The focus was to set policies and processes; obtain maximum reimbursements and adjust workflow for the staff for optimal efficiencies. An outside auditor reviewed our billing department 2 years later and our billing department received the highest marks the auditor has given. My role expanded to 13 employees who included managing the front desk staff, the referral/prior authorization staff, and the billing department staff.
