I was instrumental in acquiring a new Oncologist client for company whom also was the 1st Oncologist for Comprehensive Medical Management. I was the Manger for this new client and traveled to North Carolina during the implementation process. Managed staff, reviewed electronic insurance denial reports and investigated issues, and made the needed updates for the claims to pass the editing process. I handled client requests, unsatisfied patients, and employee issues. Attended weekly manager meetings assisted other departments when needed. I resolved a 2 year long credential issue that resulted in the client receiving all reimbursement that was due. I was responsible for all data updates to Misys software which included insurance, procedure, ICD.9 and fee schedule updates; along with importing yearly RVU data.

The billing department was formed 6 months prior to my employment. The focus was to set policies and processes; obtain maximum reimbursements and adjust workflow for the staff for optimal efficiencies. My role expanded to 13 employees who included managing the front desk staff, the referral/prior authorization staff, and the billing department staff.
