Basic responsibilities were to monitor the engine during a 300-hour high rpm endurance test. I assisted with thermal couple wiring and repairs. Performed and logged various run and pre-run tests including the engine’s initial break-in, leak down, compression, oil consumption, and catalyst aging tests. Prepared and installed prototype engines shipped from Korea to their assigned test cell. During teardowns I Installed engine wiring harnesses and coolant hoses to the heat exchanger. Installed and leveled the drive shaft from the dyno to the test engine. Handled and directed gasoline shipments to their designated octane tanks. Calculated fuel allocations during durability runs and made the decision as to when fuel tanks were to be switched. Trouble shot engine malfunctions such as overheating alarms due to air bubbles in the coolant jacket. I was the key person to install the entire inventory cabinets of (parts and fittings) in the engine build room. Meijer
