Supported Nextel Communications - RF Engineering Operations, as the Project Manager. Some of the activities included:

National Rollout of a Micro-cell radio-wave propagation tool. Efforts included RFI creation, negotiation/purchase of building/terrain data, oversight of the conduct of microcell tools trials at 6 Nextel locations, etc. Wavesight successfully rolled out to all 4 regions of Nextel;

Provided project management support for the following projects – Wizard terminal services rollout (infrastructure re-design – server specs, terminal services, citrix metaframe, Oracle, etc), CellOpt ACP trials in 7 markets. “Wizard” is a macrocell radio wave frequency propagation & planning tool for wireless networks;

Supported product enhancement and the creation of a national training program for RF and Systems Performance engineers on the use of Actix Analyzer.

CSC was the lead of the PRIME contractors (IBM, Northrop Grumman, SAIC, Unisys, KPMG, Avaya) on the IRS Modernization program. I was part of CSC’s integration team.

As the Release Manager, I was responsible for providing integration oversight, lead PMO portfolio management, creation of the release architecture in accordance with the Federal Enterprise Architecture (FEA) framework, mapping of requirements to Configuration Item List (CIL), Test Cases, and Requirement Matrix; manage cross project dependencies to create a program level release from requirements engineering, development, testing, through deployment;

Provided management oversight on the schedules and interfaces between projects and the IRS production systems utilizing the PRIME developed integrated master schedule (IMS);

I established the first indexing schema for projects work-products and deliverables breakdown by requirements driven by the IMS;

Maintained change Request updates to the requirements and assured change propagations to all related artifacts;

Bell Atlantic in trying to get into the long distance market was required by the FCC to open up its local market to competition. Hired as a Consultant to create a Strategic Architecture District responsible for carrying out the software and system Architecture practice that will enable Bell Atlantic to support interoperability and interface with CLECs (Competitive Local Exchange Carriers). The flow through systems were required to support pre-ordering, ordering, provisioning, and billing activities for such CLECs as AT&T, MCI, Sprint, Williams Telecom, etc. on all voice, data, and broadband services.

Managed a staff of 28. Responsible for conversion/migration of AT&T customer accounts information from legacy platforms (MVS, IMS, DB2, Cobol, VSAM, etc) to a new architecture on a “Universal Platform (UP)” to support end-to-end customer information management. The new platform with the new AT&T universal biller (UB) constructs supports ordering, provisioning, through billing. The UP is a client/server environment running Oracle 8.05, C, Pro*C, C++, ClearDDTS, ClearCase, ReqPro, etc.

Designed, implemented software modules to unload data from the various legacy stores, develop translation software to create the new UB structures in accordance with the new AT&T UP hierarchies, and load/update data into the universal platform.
