Leadership Experience and Activities
Reagan Rowdies – Co-Captain Fall 2013 – Spring 2016
The Reagan Rowdies are a spirit group at Reagan High School. The Rowdies go to school sporting events and assist the cheerleader in “hyping up” the crowd, as well as the football players.
Student Council – Active Member Fall 2012 – Spring 2016
Student Council is responsible for all activities that occur doing school. We are in charge of events such as Homecoming week, Go Texans Day, Powderpuff, and school tours. Not only do we create activities and events to help create a more fun and social atmosphere for the students at Reagan, but we also participate in community service events.
DECA – Member Fall 2013 – Spring 2015
DECA is a business oriented organization in which members participate in competitions. In these competitions members role play as a business executive.
FBLA – Active Member Fall 2014 – Spring 2016
FBLA stands for Future Business Leaders of America, and is a business oriented organization. Students learn about business and also participate in competitions in which they must present their knowledge in one of the business categories.
National Honor Society – Active Member Spring 2015 – Spring 2016
The National Honor Society (NHS) is the nation's premier organization established to recognize outstanding high school students. More than just an honor roll, NHS serves to honor those students who have demonstrated excellence in the areas of scholarship, leadership, service, and character.
PALS – Active Member Spring 2015 – Spring 2016
PALS is a peer leadership and service learning organization. Students take on a peer leadership role as they volunteer to be mentors for students in neighboring elementary schools (part of the Big Brother Big Sisters organizations). Members of PALS are also expected to create a service learning project for each semester. As a PAL member, I mentored one fifth grade girl, and a class of first grade students. I also created two service learning projects raising awareness for toxic relationships, and sexual assault, as well as how to form healthy relationships.
