Graduate Research Study and Thesis – Polar Coding

● Configured a composite channel model for Quantum Key Distribution (QKD), which includes both a hard output quantum channel and a soft output classic channel.

● The Log-Likelihood Ratios aka soft-metrics are derived from two channels are jointly processed at the receiver by exploiting capacity by iteratively decoding block codes (bc) and more specifically polar codes (pc).

● The performance of the proposed pc-based algorithms are studied via simulations as a function of the system parameters.

● Designed & configured an intelligent network infrastructure for the school campus using OpNet for both Wireless as well as LAN connection.
