Field service engineer: Installed, maintained and repaired Ortho’s line of
both transfusional medicine and clinical Chemistry systems across a broad
and diverse geographical area. As an FSE. I was called upon to travel extensively and
be on call at all times. Due to urgent nature of the required tests, speed as well as
accuracy were paramount. As a FSE on some of the newer product, i worked closely with
senior technical personnel and company R&D personnel to resolve issues plaguing systems
around the country.
Fuji-Film Medical Systems USA, Chesapeake, VA 2007 – 2015
Field Service Engineer, Networked Systems: Maintained the entire Fuji-Film product line, including Digital X Ray systems to Fuji-Films line of Life Science camera equipment. Worked closely with customers to schedule and carry out maintenance of complex digital imaging equipment. Traveled extensively throughout the state of Virginia and North Carolina meeting customer and manufacturer Support Level Agreements. Led successful rollout of the US Navy’s Picture Archiving Communications System (PACS)/ this involved building and deploying complex servers, network hardware, operational desktop systems and all associated content switches. The multi-faceted skills applied here ranging from network troubleshooting to deployment of computerized and digital x-ray systems were also used successfully at several other customer rollout sites throughout the medical centers total footprint.
