Research Intern

Applied Optimization Private Limited Pune, India 04/2016 - 04/2017

I. As a part of Masters Dissertation process, I am working as a Research Intern in Applied Optimization Private Limited on the Project titled "Optimal Scheduling of Crude Oil Re nery". I am currently working on Scheduling Algorithms, Mathematical Programming, Mixed Integer Linear and Non Linear Programming and Constraint Programming models. I have experience using solvers like CPLEX, Gurobi and MIDACO, and programming languages like C#, OPL, and Python. I have been successful in designing and programming a model which reduces solve time and increases the e ciency of a Crude Oil Scheduling Problem. Also got a basic understanding of other ongoing projects viz. Vehicle Routing Problem and Network Flow Problem in Optimization. II. Worked on OLAP cubes using tools like R server and .net for data visualizations. Used di erent forecasting methods for products with intermittent demand to achieve maximum accuracy for the forecasts. Have hands on experience with data modelling and knowledge about machine learning.
