Projects
• Senior Project: Transforming Staircase – designed, machined, and assembled an ADA and ASME compliant staircase that automatically transitions to a handicapped accessible elevator. Performed FEA on major components, Tested components to verify theoretical calculations; documentation: project proposal, drawing package with BOM, analysis report, budget report and project website - http://bit.ly/2q1QGga.
• Steam Engine: Machined and assembled an air compression steam engine from mechanical drawings keeping within drawing tolerances.
• Gear Box Reduction: Designed in Solidworks a 10:1 gearbox with 90-degree bend, specifically for a NASA electric engine. Analyzed gearbox for stresses and fatigue-life.
• Project Reaper: Using SolidWorks, designed a 220lbs combat robot for Robogames 2016.
• Combat Robot: Designed, built and tested combat robots - Competitive Robotics club.
• Tiny House: A state wide Net Zero Energy (Mobile) Tiny House competition for SMUD. Completed weld analysis for the custom trailer frame, and assisted in the entire construction of the tiny house from framing to finishes.
