I am very interested in your position of XXXXX. My resume is attached in a separate document. My background is in lending both to consumers and corporations. While in these positions I was able to assist my clients in process improvement as well as secure loans / lines of credit in their behalf. My last position was with Regions Bank. My customers produced over 50% of the Houston groups revenue. This was achieved by my ability through using tools such as Six Signa and using their DMAIC process. My most successful project a staffing company where the owner passed away and left the company to his spouse. The spouse had little experience and asked her CPA to help her find someone to manage the business. I was contacted by her CPA to see if I would be interested. I agreed to take on the project. Using the Six Sigma tool I was able to quickly determine the problem areas. After defining the problem areas being both management and a lack of controls and no business plan. The management team at that time was taking advantage of the lack of controls and had numerous HR issues including sexual harassment, using company funds to attend out of state conferences that they attended but did not attend the majority of the classes and seminars.
After a month of reviewing the situation I determined the major problem was the management team. I discussed this with the owner who concurred. The person in charge at that time was terminated. At that point I was able to begin the DMAIC process. The major problem was lack of cash flow caused by expenses being out of control. Days sales outstanding were reduced from 50.4 days to 31.2 days. Once the initial management staff was stabilized the management team focused on reducing expenses. The company returned to profitability. From that point on until I left the company it was profitable. Unfortunately, the company slid back to some of their old ways. The company was sold three times, causing HR problems. I will share with you the problems encountered and the solutions.
I was approached by the Retail Merchants Association of Indianapolis to manage their credit reporting operations. In a reasonable period of time the business was up and running successfully. The company was subsequently sold to CSC where I managed their central region.
From there I was approached to work with Bank of America where I was responsible for growing their business in the region. Subsequently, I was recruited to work for GE Capital. While there I was exposed to Six Sigma and found it to be an excellent tool for process improvement.
In summary my skills in using Six Sigma was and is a major factor in my success over the years. I am very interested in discussing with you how I can add profit to my employers bottom line.
