Client: Ascena Retail Group, Columbus, OH Oct 2016 to May 2017 Role: Oracle DBA

Responsibilities:

• Installation, upgrade, maintenace and patching of RAC/NON-RAC 11g/10g RDBMS

• Backup and Recovery issues related (loss of OCR, Voting Disk and Oracle clusterware) & also issues with corruption of individual disk data blocks, loss of OS configuration files, loss of net configuration files.

• Evaluated and implemented new technologies. Deployed and maintained 50+ servers that include VMware, Microsoft and Unix platforms

• Refreshed/instantiated Physical standby database using advanced 11gR2 features like Active Database Duplication (ADD) from stand-alone to 2-node.

• Used extensively Flashback’s feature of Guaranteed Restore point on standby-database to perform large sized data-exports to not disturb the Primary database and placed the database back to Standby mode
