Directed 5-man software team in Calgary, Alberta to enable this center to make a vital transition to the Company’s latest processing system.

Responsible for hands-on implementation of numerous applications, both prototype and final products. Tasks involved migrating legacy C and Fortran software as well as original design in C++ and Fortran 90.

By reorganizing project goals and scope, and through personal contributions the project's software products were successfully delivered in the pre-established deadline.

Regional Software Manager / Developer (1989 – 2005)

Successive promotions from Junior Programmer to Regional Manager within 5 years. Throughout career continued hands-on involvement in development of new software in collaboration with geophysical research and processing departments.

Single-handedly proposed, designed, developed and supported high level distributed process to leverage legacy applications. The process is self-contained, unobtrusive and was introduced fully functional with little modification to existing libraries or user interface. This process is still used successfully in production.

Applications expert for newly formed team charged with developing completely new processing system. Using latest object oriented methods, the new systems and applications became the vehicle for integrating new programming technologies in the company.

Collaborated as part of small multidisciplinary team to resolve critical production issues with company’s newly purchased cluster processing systems and technologies. Hands-on involved revising key application technologies resulting in a viable production application as well as delivering standardized template for future development.
