Bachelor of Science in Engineering, Major: Mechanical Engineering
Senior Design Projects
Fluid Mechanics – model the flow or air around a vehicle, and report the drag coefficient at a specific speed.
Heat Transfer – Determine the effect that placing a pipe with a circulating fluid will have on the surface temperature of pavement if placed in various locations beneath the surface.
Vibration Analysis – Design, build, model mathematically, and run experiments on an engineering system that oscillates in free vibration at.
Micro-Engineering – Design and build a system that will assist researchers in the injection of drugs in a mouse’s eye.
Mechanical Design – Develop and implement a programmable logic control (PLC) program that will repeat certain tasks and movements a number of times before coming to completion.
EMPLOYMENT
