Master thesis (available upon request): Use of generalized gamma distribution in modeling lifetime data

Summary: The generalized gamma distribution with right censoring is considered as the distribution for the lifetime (survival data):

• Did formal hypothesis testing to determine a particular distribution within generalized gamma family that provides adequate fit to the data.

• Carried out extensive Monte Carlo simulation study to demonstrate the performance of the estimation method and the flexibility of the generalized gamma family.

• Performed model discrimination and selection using likelihood ratio test and information- based criteria (AIC and BIC).

• Applied developed method on real data (lung cancer patients), further illustrated the performance of proposed method and flexibility of generalized gamma family. Enraytek Optoelectronics Co., Ltd, Shanghai (2011 - 2015) Technical manager, R&D division

• Led a team to successfully complete multiple projects on optimization of existing fabrication process and development of new technologies.

• Conducted data collection, manipulation and statistical analysis using SQL, SAS, and excel etc.

• Figured out the main factors which influence the product quality and yield based on statistical analysis results.

• Made decisions about evolutionary changes to improve yields and product quality.

• Summarized and interpreted results from statistical analyses and presented the technical reports internally and externally to individuals from different backgrounds. Nanotechnology Research Center, Bilkent University, Ankara, Turkey Research associate (2004 - 2006, 2009 - 2010)

• Researched and developed semiconductor devices with a team of engineers and technicians.
