CAREER HIGHLIGHTS AND ACHIEVEMENTS
PRODUCTION EFFICIENCY IMPROVEMENT
. Led efficiency improvement initiatives in three different departments
and achieved double digits increases; successfully exceeded company
goal of 90% within the first six months. IMPACT: Boosted one
factory's efficiency from 65% to 98% within six months. Led another
factory's turnaround resulting in 15% improvement within one month,
transformed the Gamco Assembly Area from 56% to 103% within six
months. By increasing production levels, raised on-time delivery
performance from 95% to 99.9% across all three departments.
. Planned, developed and implemented a three-tiered equipment
maintenance program that utilized a combination of employee
maintenance, company maintenance support and manufacturer technical
support. Upon discovery of critical fault in multiple pieces of
equipment, made immediate repairs needed to maintain functionality.
IMPACT: Reduced equipment downtime from 8 hours per week to 2 hours
per month. This in turn resulted in $5,000 monthly payroll savings
while improving on-time delivery performance from 90% to 98%.
TEAM LEADERSHIP MANPOWER SCHEDULING & UTILIZATION
. Conceived, developed and implemented a rotating 'panama' work schedule
for 20+ military personnel in order to ensure flexibility and
availability of the right people necessary for mission-critical
assignments.
. Established a daily work schedule for manufacturing production
employees resulting in 20% drop in absenteeism and generated payroll
savings in excess of $10,000 per month.
. Turned around under-performing employees using a 'lead from the front'
approach to restore productivity and morale. IMPACT: Through
mentorship and training, promoted six employees to next levels; built
a pipeline of promotable employees for the company while helping
individuals realize their fullest potential.
PROJECT MANAGEMENT
. Orchestrated the rapid launch of a new part from design concept to
development, testing and production within six months, this new part
was far more superior in function and quality and was integrated into
a problematic product. IMPACT: Eliminated customer complaints due to
performance issues, saving the company $30,000 per year. The success
of this project led to a follow-up project to remove now unneeded
parts from the product. Removal of these parts contributed to annual
cost savings of an additional $220,000.
