transformers. Those efforts range from using flatbed trailers to transport
a load of smaller, pole mounted transformers to industrial transformers
with K.V.A. ratings of 250,000. Pneumatic pressure/vacuum trailers are
also used frequently to extract the oil from a larger transformer unit for
the purposes of neutralizing any presence of Polychlorinated Biphenyls

Directly responsible for operating a large business which involved the
manufacture, storage, transport and use of a variety of explosive products.
This also included maintaining a fleet of trucks used in the daily operation of
transporting and dispensing ( augering ) bulk blasting agents. Operational
requirements mandated compliant assignment of drivers, blasters and crew
members where D.O.T., M.S.H. A., O.S.H.A., and A.T.F. regulations were
concerned. Proper storage and inventory of hundreds of types of detonators,
high explosives, and bulk explosives was a primary responsibility as dictated
by A.T.F. specifications. Currency of credentials (blaster license, CDL, and
all endorsements, etc.), disciplinary action/documentation as needed,
managing time off, adherence to Standard Operating Procedure and
hiring/firing were of primary importance in my area of human resource
responsibilities. I was also the preferred contact among an extensive
customer base that included all types of mining and seismic operations.
Occasionally there was required an orchestration of a multi branch effort in
accomplishing certain mining objectives which were larger than was typical.
