Notable Construction Projects
General Motors Headquarters - Jefferson Avenue and River walk Promenades-Detroit, MI 2003
On this project I acted as a liaison for the Owner and was in charge of all construction quality control.
This included Micro-pile installation, Concrete installation for the promenade, Rebar inspection,
construction material inspection as well as submitting daily IDR' about the activities performed by
individual contractors on any given day.
Chicago Skyway Rehabilitation – Chicago, IL 1998
This project consisted of replacing the toll booths at the 87th street toll as well as underground drainage
work and total replacement of existing pavement. I acted as a field engineer and executed quantity
verifications, IDR’s and other related duties.
Central Park of Lisle – Naperville, IL 1989
Higgins Development Partners completed the first 300,000 SF phase of this three-phase 800,000 SF office
park in. As a staff engineer I was in charge of quality control on caissons, conventional footings, concrete,
masonry, fireproofing and all other construction materials utilized on the job site.
Indiana Maximum Security Prison - Exterior wall reconstruction - Michigan City, IN 1999
During this project were totally replaced. The prison dates back to the civil war and the walls were
crumbling. Due to the sandy soils in conjunction with the high water table, we utilized auger grout piles
for the deep foundation systems with grade beams spanning the piles. My job was to monitor the Auger
grout pile installation and record the neat line volume of the grout to ensure that we had quality piles. I
also inspected rebar and grout material for compliance with job specifications.
The New Comiskey Park – Chicago, IL 1989
This was a large project in which a group of engineering technicians monitored all facets of construction
material related quality control for the White Sox new home. I was involved in construction material
testing of concrete and reinforcing steel.
Santa Fe Intermodal - Hodgkins, IL 1994
This was the largest project at which I acted as direct supervisor of construction material
technicians. Supervised technicians and wrote detailed reports pertaining to
constructional testing performed by members of our team. Performed field testing on
materials encountered in construction activities.
