For the past two years I worked to restore a 37 year old festival back to the community after a one year repriev e. I had

to get approvals from multi local municipalities as I had to move the entire venue of the entire festival which turned out

to be very successful in 2012. I have served on the board of directors (2004-2012) for a local summertime festival in

Linden, MI. called the Summer Happening festival. A well attended 37 year old tradition for the city of Linden MI. My

Board position titles are as follows, General Chairman, Entertainment Director, Website designer, and Photographer.

The festival annually brings around 20-30 thousand attendees every year! www.lindensummerhappening.org

My duties included:

Register with the State of Michigan as new acting Resident Agent for the Corporation.

Applied for special one day use permits for alcohol with the state of Michigan.

The hiring of all entertainment for the entire festival, kids entertainment and adult entertainment.

Created a very successful comedy night for the festival featuring 5 local and national comedians.

Hired all the live entertainment for both Friday and Saturday nights in the entertainment tent.

Hired a licensed/bonded/insured security company for the festival.

Ordered tent rentals, tables, chairs and staging for the entertainment tent.

Coordinate with beer distributor to order beer and other alcoholic beverages for the entertainment tent.

Order/design all sponsor banners to be displayed throughout the festival.

Hired a professional sound and lighting company for live entertainment.

Photograph the various activities throughout festival.

Design and maintain the official website.

Coordinate with graphic design company to create promotional advertisements, posters, hand -outs coupons

and tee-shirts design.

I also served as Director of Operations for an annual event called the Bikes and Bands for Shrine Children for the years

of 2009 and 2010. I took over the event as Director of Operations. I then redesigned the event from a one day event and

expanded it to a three day event. www.bikesandbands.com

My duties included development and complete re-design of the entire event.

To oversee and organize a full committee. I delegated responsibilities to an 8 person committee along with

the General Chairman of the organization.

Hired 13 bands to perform over a 2 day period in (All bands donated their time for the cause).

Secured a full carnival midway for the event. (Schmidts Amusements).

Hired a professional fireworks/pyrotechnics company for a 2 night disp lay.

Ordered tent rentals, tables, chairs and staging for the entertainment tent.

Coordinate with beer distributor to order beer and other alcoholic beverages for the entertainment tent.

Order/design all sponsor banners to be displayed throughout the festival.

Hired a professional sound and lighting company for live entertainment.

Coordinate with graphic design company to create promotional advertisements, posters, hand -outs coupons

and tee-shirts design.

Also other activities included are as follows:

Booking / Event planner for many local venues/bars/nightclubs.

Assistant Circus Chairman – 2010 Flint Shrine Circus.

Photographer for a local Motorcycle Magazine (for the last 7 years.)

Owned and operated “Uncle Scooters Chop Shop” Haunted House 2009.

Member of the Michigan Festivals & Events Association. (2005-2012)

The Teddy Bear Patrol fundraiser – For Police and Firefighters ( 2011)

Hosting the 2013 Lincoln Day Dinner (2013)
