I started at Kay as an Electronic/Electrical Technician performing repairs on equipment as well as building project equipment, installing PLC controllers, variable speed drives and HIM’s making adjustments on the PLC programs.
I was promoted to Maintenance Planner/Scheduler in 2002.
I planned and scheduled all equipment shutdowns and downtime so we could perform scheduled and preventive maintenance.
I scheduled equipment upgrades and modifications as well, assigning projects to contractors and mechanics to make sure they were completed in the proper sequence, in order to keep the flow of the projects on schedule.
I worked with vendors to obtain quotes on new projects. I would then work with the vendors to do the FAT/PAT qualifying on purchased equipment.
Responsible for tracking inventory of spare parts for production equipment.
