My career goal is to become a speech language pathologist. I want to help children and adults with

language and hearing disorders develop the communication skills needed for self -expression, social

interaction, academic success, and employment. Helping others is the very core of this work, which is

why I chose this field. If I can help others the way that I have been helped in my life then I would

consider myself successful.

I observed other Speech-Language Pathologists giving treatment to patients to learn which treatment

would be the best and why and how to interact with patients and make them feel comf ortable, as well as

different treatment strategies.
