I am very interested in applying for the posted position at your company. I believe my degree in Textile Engineering at North Carolina State University and my experience as a research and development engineer makes me an ideal candidate for this position.

As a Textile Engineering major, I have studied materials such as polymers, both wovens, and nonwovens. I have also had the opportunity to take graduate level classes in Composites and Biomaterials, where I was able to construct a vascular tube for a final project. My experience in Senior Design improved my knowledge in research and design, which helped me to create a prototype that is currently in the process of being patent through North Carolina State University. Additionally, my former position at Tower Engineering Professionals gave me the opportunity to coordinate, travel, and work all over the country. Furthermore, it gave me experience in working independently without the assistance of supervisors and practice in working on multiple tasks at one time.

My current position at Nomaco Engineered Foam Solutions has given me experience working in a manufacturing environment. This work experience has taught me how to coordinate projects to respond to customer requests by utilizing drawings, cost models, development runs and quality checks. Most importantly these jobs have taught me the importance of leadership skills and teamwork.

I believe the classes I have taken and work experience I have had makes me a great candidate for this position and gives me valuable experience that equips me to present your company with advantages others may not offer.
