I trained all newly reported enlisted and officer personnel on basic damage control, flooding control, and chemical, biological, and radiological defense. Additionally, I also gave training on all positions on the ship's fire parties. I was also responsible for the maintenance on all portable and installed damage control equipment. This includes all fire extinguishing agents(AFFF, HALON, APC) conducting repair locker inventories, SCBA equipment, Gas Free Engineering equipment, and air quality tests. I also conducted Heat Stress safety test before drills were conducted in the Main engine spaces and did periodic inspections of spaces for damage control discrepancies.
