Cadre Management at Tata Motors – Graduate Engineer Trainee (GET) Induction &

Training Standardization across all plants.

Project Title

• Key project deliverables :

1) Planning, designing & executing Tata Motors GET induction in a standardized format.

Supporting the GET club.

2) Engaging with the GETs across all locations & finalizing the standardized GET club

events, GET induction & GET training.

3) Supporting the life-cycle management of Cadre.

• To achieve the above mentioned deliverables, I traveled to all Tata Motors plants (Pune,

Project Lucknow, Jamshedpur, Pantnagar&Sanand) & conducted Appreciative Inquiry enabled

Description Focused Group Discussions with the GETs to get their feedback on the training scheme,

induction & the GET Club.

On the basis of the feedback, I prepared a survey for the GETs to corroborate the

feedback with quantitative data. The sample size for the survey was 156 GETs. On the

basis of the group discussions, GET survey results, internal benchmarking survey, &

feedback from HR of the plants, I identified improvement opportunities & made the

necessary suggestions & recommendations for a standardized GET scheme.
