Summary
Qualified State of Texas Licensed Paramedic with over 25 years of experience. I have solid
reputation for superior performance, accuracy and decision making ability. Presently, I work
as the EMS Supervisor for the Corpus Christi Fire Department, we have three shifts and I
oversee and manage 36 40 paramedic firefighters on my shift as they staff from 9 10 Medic
units that run approximately 100 120 call per shift and the department ran over 27,00 EMS
related calls in 2012. My role is to evaluate all EMS reports via Q/A and Q/I, respond to calls
and monitor how crews are incorporating the critical thinking needed on calls. I provide any
training for recent upgrades in equipment (12 lead transmission, capnography, Epcr software
etc.) and I act as a Liaison between the crews, citizens and hospital staff and hospital
administration addressing any concerns and compliments. I also perform the function of EMS
Operations and Sheltering within our ICS organization and I carry the All Hazards Incident
Management Team position as well as a G449 Intermediate (300) and Advanced (400)
Incident Instructor. The next chapter in my EMS experience has begun with my recent hire
into the Acadian Ambulance fold and my hope is to transition into a position in the company
where I can exert all my knowledge and expertise in promoting the Acadian culture.
