Prior to residing in the United States, I lived in France, England and
Morocco. Fulll-time employment included working for the U.S. Information
Service, the U.S. Foreign Service, the American Joint Distribution
Committee and the United Nations High Commission for Refugees.
Upon my arrival in this country, I worked as a free-lance
translator/interpreter (consecutive) in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. I moved to
California in 1999.
My main areas of expertise include light medical equipment ; restaurant
and office equipment, instruction manuals for engineering and agricultural
equipment ; bicycles ; food products, cooking implements/cooking ;
travel/tourism ; general business ; legal documents such as birth and
marriage certificates, divorce decrees ; diplomas. I translate internal
newsletters for several multinational companies. I receive assignments from
direct clients as well as from translation agencies/bureaus.
In recent years, I assisted Jeffrey B. Isaacs, Asst. U.S. Attorney,
Central District of California in Los Angeles, with a very important
project involving litigation between France and the State of California at
the highest level. This project included translation both of En. to Fr. and
Fr to En.

RELATED ACTIVITIES
At the request of the Director of Berlitz Language School in Milwaukee, I
developed materials for a cross-cultural intrduction program intended for
General Electric personnel sent to France for extended periods of time that
was used successfully on several occasions.
I participated in the creation of the 'Berlitz Junior' (French) manual.
