Received a Bachelors degree in Environmental Planning & Analysis in spring 2010. A comprehensive major which culminated Geography, Biology and Chemistry. Focus was within the Geography department and personal interest was Geographic Information Systems and Remote Sensing.

Construction Materials Testing Field Technician
- A technician position on active construction sites which involves the observation, inspection, sampling and testing of soils, concrete, grout, asphalt, masonry and aggregates.
- Technicians are responsible for the calculation and documentation of test results obtained in the field and inserted into daily reports for the clients.
- Typical on-site duties include:
- Daily communication with site contractors, project managers, city inspectors and other technicians
- Visual inspection of reinforcing steel as read from structural drawings
- Sampling of freshly poured concrete for strength tests performed in a lab setting
- Observation and testing of soils using instruments such as a Nuclear Density Gauge, Dynamic Cone Penetrometer, One-Point Proctors, Sand Cones and Soil Augers.
- Visually identify different soils on the fly based on their physical properties in order to correctly match it to the appropriate Proctor
- Make important decisions and quick problem solving for any problems that the technician may face
- Efficiently reading and comprehending site plans and geotechnical reports in order to be in compliance with engineering standards
- Typical office duties include:
- Preparing and entering recorded data into daily technical reports which are submitted to project managers and contractors
- Retrieving electronic or hard-copy drawings and detailing the extent of the work completed on a given day via hand sketches and/or digital photos
