As Project engineer on 30,000 S.F. 10 Mil. Dollar OCIP/SWEUP/DSA retrofit take over project, in addition to my regular duties of supporting the P.M. and Superintendent in all areas of project construction and management, I also, have been selected for executing the following roles: Change order management, review and process of subs monthly payments, Soliciting bids, releases associated with Stop Notices created due to subs economic hardship, Close out and commissioning process.

Coordinating and commissioning of the building for Electrical, Mechanical, Landscaping and HVAC which included BAS system; this involved finalizing the commissioning plan and document templates with ICA and coordinating all the required procedures to accomplish successful building turn over to the owner.
Utilizing BIM coordinating MEP during pre-construction for shop drawings submittal approval and during construction for resolving unforeseen conflict with other trades
As part of my role, I held preparatory meetings prior to commencing work for each trade to insure adherence to specified project requirements with respect to quality control and inspection.

In addition to all standard duties as a senior P.E.; also lead the CCSI project team and subcontractors in creating strategy for LEED projects and implementing processes for effective documentation control, which included finalizing the processes for achieving the goal of obtaining the Gold certification visa-vie requirements for construction phase and final test/inspection and turn over. Training and assisting first time subcontractors involved in a LEED project.
Dos Lagos Heart & Amphitheater (10M-22 Acre design-Build 2006 award winning Undulated structural Steel pathway including bridge, 2 lakes and many unique design features)

In addition to my role as Senior PE /APM, I also were the lead commissioning agent for the

As the LEED administrator and the commissioning officer, working with the owner’s ICA and project design team LEED consultant, developed and managed project specific requirements, which included scheduling of the commissioning phase of the project, pre-function check list, programming phase of the controls for BAS, air balance verification and functional test for the approx. 30,000 S.F. LEED Gold certified Sempra Utilities C&O, a new SDG&E building in San Diego. As part of the turn over for the LEED project, the specifications also required holding training sessions for the owner’s engineering/maintenance team for operating and troubleshooting of the MEP systems, 22KW photovoltaic system, ATS for a 72-hour back up generator, and the integration of Life & Safety controls into above mentioned building components, which were videotaped professionally and turned over as part of O&Ms in digital disk format.
As the commissioning agent of the CM team, fulfilled my role by taking similar steps as above mentioned project, and successfully completed the commissioning and turn over of the recently built California Court of Appeals- a 50,000+ S.F. AOC project- in Santa Ana, Ca.

Surveyed and changed design-build fiber optic running line for Level 3 Communication.
Identified topographical and jurisdictional issues pertaining to resources within designed running line, which would dictate the necessity of either obtaining permits from different governmental agencies (City, County, State) or/and changing construction methods from plowing/trenching to boring methods.
Identified and located subsurface utilities consisting of wire, fire, gas, sewer, water mains, sewage, telephone cables, sewage, electrical wires for signals, fiber optics and h.p. gas lines for proper bore clearances.
Worked with engineers of different agencies to review and approve changed plans.
Reviewed geological survey and test reports and incorporating them in bore designs.
Designed bores (300’to 3500’ long) with VERMEER ATLAS BORE PLANNER for purpose of obtaining permits for each specific construction site in accordance with site-specific permit requirements. (Including but not limited to staging and movement of heavy construction equipment.)
Obtained TEWS or variances for use of access through private properties. Did hiring and training (on needed bases) of bore inspectors to monitor construction sites to ensure compliance with permitting, design, and safety and produce accurate and complete as-built construction records.

Did the building of the North Hollywood Underground Metro Station. Job included ground up construction, excavation into existing utilities, concrete pouring and concrete lifting.
Identified and resolved conflicts between existing and new designed subsurface utilities in subcontractors weekly meetings in the construction phase. Utilities consisted of water mains, sewage, drainage, gas lines and telephone cables.
Reviewed and updated approved construction lifts drawings per contract specifications and construction codes.
