Qualification Statement

Over thirty years experience in construction management projects in transportation, heavy

construction and public works. The major accomplishments were construction of new schools for

LAUSD, construction of Los Angeles Metro Red line and Pasadena Gold line, construction of

Alameda corriodor from Port of Long Beach to down town Los Angels, and coordinated

construction and installation of refinery modules from lower 48 to Prudhoe Bay, Alaska.

Los Angeles, CA

• Project engineer assigned to construction of 107 million dollar new high school #5 for Los

Angeles Unified School District at San Fernando, CA.

• Project engineer assigned to construction of tilt up structure for Maintenance shop and

Administration building for Caltrans in Sylmar, CA. Caltrans' existing facility was relocated

from North Hollywood to new facility at Sylmar and the old location was demolished, turned to

LAUSD high school playground.

• QA Auditor on Pasadena Gold Line for construction of four stations and track from Memorial

Park station to Sierra Madre Station. Responsibilities incliuded surveillance of rail installation,

welding, and inspection of ballast and testing at the plant prior shipment to the site.

• Construction Quality Assurance engineer for Long Beach Harbor to down town Los Angeles

Mid Corridor Alameda project (box structure for transport of rail container cargo). Responsible

for field surveillance activities of trench wall, slab on grade, bridges and rail installation.

• Project Engineer assigned for close out of Los Angeles Unified Valley Region High School No

4 at Granada Hills, CA. Responsible to all aspects of closeout including providing documents

to DSA to obtain final closeout signatures.

1987 - 2001

The Nettleship Group

Santa Monica, CA

• Project engineer asigned to Los Angeles Metro Red Line subway on maintenance and start

up for operation of segment three of transit system from Sunset Boulevard to North Hollywood in

Los Angeles.

• Construction engineer assigned to construction of Los Angeles Metro Red Line

Vermont/Santa Monica station in Los Angeles. Also responsible for contract close out issues of

segment two subway system (mid corridor).

• Assigned to Los Angeles Metro Red Line Wilshire/Normandy Station with four tunnels as

an Assistant Resident Engineer.

• Field/Office engineer for Construction of Metro Union Station and improvement of union

station facilities for Metrolink including tracks and tunnel walkways to platforms.

• Field/Office engineer for construction of Metro and 7th and Flower street station in down

town Los Angeles.

• Field /Office engineer for construction of Los Angeles Metro Red Line yard and shops of

maintenance way facilities for service of subway cars.

1979 -1986

Pasadena, CA

• Assigned to ARCO Prudhoe Bay Project as senior construction engineer. Responsible for

planning, coordinating and overseeing construction, transportation and final installation of refinery

modules from Tacoma, WA to Prudhoe Bay, Alaska.

• Field engineer for construction of petrochemical sulfur removal plant at Brandon,

Mississippi.
